If you’re a mission-driven healthcare professional looking for a new career opportunity, it’s time to start looking at your Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) clinic options.
At Inline, we’re no strangers to FQHC clinics. In fact, our recruiters have placed many candidates looking for rewarding careers at these public or non-profit clinics that offer high-quality care to patients regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status.
FQHC clinics are driven by the mission to improve lives in communities that may not have access to high-quality care. Often located in rural or underserved communities, these clinics provide cost-effective preventative care and offer patients access to affordable immunizations, mammograms, health education, and other life-changing screenings.
We recently asked our recruiters what the vetting process looks like for candidates interested in a position at an FQHC.
- Looking for mission-driven people: Before placing a candidate at an FQHC, we want to make sure they know what it means to work at this type of facility. This means reviewing their previous experience. But if they haven’t worked at an FQHC, that’s OK - a top candidate might have similar experience and be seeking to help patients in a different way.
- Searching for jacks-of-all-trades: FQHC clinics are often understaffed. We’re looking for candidates that can keep an open mind, have the ability to pivot when needed, and are ready and willing to roll up their sleeves no matter who comes through the clinic doors.
- Examining certifications and training: Because FQHC clinics can serve a broad spectrum of patients from a variety of social and economic backgrounds, we look for candidates that might have extra certification and specific training in areas that might better aid the population they’re serving.
If you’re looking for a mission-driven healthcare career, it’s time to look into FQHC clinics. Our industry veterans have decades of experience placing candidates who live to serve in opportunities that allow them to do so. If you’re interested in making the leap, join our platform today.
