Settlement Health has provided high-quality, comprehensive primary health care services to East Harlem since 1977. Originally established by Union Settlement, Settlement Health is now governed by a Board of Directors made up primarily of East Harlem residents.
Our mission is to provide East Harlem/El Barrio with high quality, comprehensive, accessible, and culturally sensitive preventive and primary care services, and to coordinate the other levels of health care that are necessary.
Settlement Health provides a full range of primary care services: Women’s Health, Pediatrics, and Adult Medicine which is delivered in three unit areas. Women’s Health, Pediatrics, and Internal Medicine. In addition to these primary health care services, Settlement Health offers numerous supportive and educational services, including HIV counseling and testing.
