Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's of Social Work Degree required.
- NYS Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required to provide treatment in both languages.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of differential diagnosis of common mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.
- Knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial treatments (e.g. Motivational Interviewing, Problem-Solving Treatment, and Behavioral Activation).
- Basic knowledge of psychopharmacology within the appropriate scope of practice.
- The Collaborative Care Licensed Master's Social Worker (Bilingual Spanish/English) provides care management and brief focused treatment to a cohort of patients identified at point of care to have moderate depression using the PHQ9.
- The Collaborative Care Social Worker is an integral member of the Collaborative Care Team which includes a patient's primary care provider and a consulting psychiatrist.
