Shenandoah Valley Medical System, Inc., DBA Shenandoah Community Health is a recognized leader in healthcare services.  Since 1976 SVMS has served the community to provide the highest quality comprehensive health care, and we have continued to expand services in response to community need.  Our offices include 2 medical care sites, 3 behavioral health sites, an oral health center, 5 WIC sites and 3 Migrant Health locations.

SCH employs more than 50 clinicians and 225 other staff.  Our multidisciplinary team of providers includes OB/Gyns, CNMs, internists, family practitioners, pediatricians, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, nurse practitioners, dentists, and pharmacists. In 2016, we provided care for more than 32,000 patients in all walks of life and ability to pay.  Our clinicians are credentialed with private insurances, Medicaid and Medicare, and CHIP.

With Medical Home status under Joint Commission, SCH offers a wide range of coordinated services:  primary medical care, women’s health services, behavioral health, oral health, and programs such as outreach to Migrant and Homeless populations, medical interpretive services, social work case management, Drug Free Moms and Babies program, Diabetes and Weight Management Programs, WIC, health education, ACA enrollment.
