Ocean Health Initiatives, Inc. (OHI) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) based in Ocean County, New Jersey. OHI provides high quality, accessible, and affordable, family health care at its four sites. Our Health Centers are in Lakewood, Toms River, Manahawkin, and Manchester; with our school based Wellness Center located within in the Clifton Ave Grade School, Lakewood.
OHI welcomes patients from all walks of life beginning at birth through their senior years. Our board certified and bi-lingual staff work in partnership with our patients on a daily basis to ensure that individual and family needs are continually met.

Lakewood is situated near several major roads, including the Garden State Parkway. It is an hour and a half from New York City, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, and the state capitol of Trenton, and only a few miles from beaches, boardwalks, and malls.
The newly renovated Strand Theater, designed by world-renowned theater architect Thomas Lamb and opened in 1922, is listed on the New Jersey and National Register of Historic Places. Offering year-round entertainment in plush, air conditioned surroundings, the Strand continues to be a perfect venue to showcase its season of comedians, musicals, dinner theater, stars from television and movies, and legendary musical entertainers.
Lakewood abounds in leisure and cultural activities. There are 15 free municipal playgrounds, a township park, lakes, three county parks, two public golf courses, historical sites to visit, and many fun-filled summer events. Parks are popular for relaxation, picnics, and recreation of all kinds … from hiking, biking, and fitness trails to volleyball, basketball, tennis courts, and open playing fields for almost every sport. Ocean County Park has three lakes, one for swimming and one for fishing. Many recreational activities surround beautiful Lake Carsaljo, including an exercise trail; a 4.5-mile path for walking, running, and biking; fishing and picnicking. The All Wars Memorial Amphitheater is the site of many community events and concerts, scheduled throughout the summer.
