Northeast Washington Alliance Counseling Services (NEWACS) operates the "Alliance Evaluation and Treatment Facility." This facility is a 16-bed adult mental health evaluation and treatment facility situated within the Providence Mount Carmel Hospital in Colville, Washington. The Alliance E&T provides inpatient evaluation and treatment services 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for people with acute symptoms of a mental disorder. Individuals admitted to the facility must be age eighteen (18) or older and pose an actual or imminent risk of danger to self, others, or property as the result of a mental disorder, or have experienced a marked increase in the severity of their psychiatric symptoms and/or be gravely disabled. Services are provided to individuals who are admitted voluntarily and to those who are involuntarily detained or committed regardless of the individuals' eligibility for governmental or 3rd party payment sources, or availability of individual resources. Length of stay varies, but is usually between 7 and 14 days.
