Our clinics are located in neighborhoods where health disparities are the greatest and our care teams, who speak over 40 languages and dialects, are as diverse as our patients. We are the largest provider of primary medical, dental, and behavioral health care services in Seattle focusing on low-income and uninsured families and individuals, seniors on fixed incomes, immigrants, and the homeless. Each year we care for almost 50,000 patients at our 17 non-profit medical, dental and school-based clinics. With the help of our staff, partners and donors, we work to make our city a healthier and safer place for everyone.

Nestled in the "Heart of the Sound" with views of water or mountains at every corner, Vashon-Maury is truly an Island. It can only be reached by a breathtakingly beautiful ferry ride. There is something magical about being on an island. The pace is slower, the people are friendlier, the attitudes are relaxed and our patchwork of pastoral and natural settings make it a refreshing Northwest getaway.

A 20-minute ferry ride from West Seattle transports travelers to a place far removed from city life, where farms still surround the tiny center of commerce, bikes wait for their owners unlocked and everyone knows everyone at the cheery summer farmers' market. The island is ringed with rocky beaches and laced with curvy roads through wooded wonderlands—plenty of room for adventure.

With 45 miles of shoreline, Vashon-Maury Island boasts the majority of waterfront property in King County. The Island is approximately 13 miles long and eight miles at the widest point, with a year-round population of about 11,000. Whether you are looking for a quiet, romantic place to relax or activities for you and the entire family, Vashon has it all! Throughout Vashon you can find interesting places to stay, quaint shops to visit, an eclectic mix of restaurants, local galleries, historical sites, musical concerts, places to hike, places to bike and places to enjoy outdoor activities.

Vashon-Maury Island is home to many painters, potters, jewelers, stained glass artists, musicians, writers and organic farmers. Vashon's artist's association presents the First Friday gallery cruise on the first Friday of each month. First Friday features a variety of accomplished local artists, not to mention a variety of wines and cheeses to help your gallery stroll.
