MVHC serves as a critical health care resource to ensure that all members of our community have access to affordable and high-quality health care. We are a local, non-profit, community-owned primary health care partner which is dedicated to serving our community’s healthcare needs.
MVHC is recognized by NCQA as a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home. As a PCMH, we have developed a model of care that supports not only the Patient, but the Provider, as well. Our team consists of a RN Care Coordinator and two clinical support staff. MVHC also has integrated behavioral health, which is of great assistance to the care team in identifying and removing socioeconomic barriers to optimum health.
We strive to create an environment which promotes a healthy work-life balance one that provides you the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of your patients while maintaining your family and personal objectives.
This is an exciting time of growth at MVHC. We are positioned to expand services to the communities we serve, fulfilling our mission of ensuring primary care for all.
Malta, and the area surrounding this village may be among the better-kept secrets in Ohio. Although small in population, this area features a number of exciting attractions that provide wonderful opportunities for individuals and families to enjoy the great outdoors.
Malta is located in the heart of the Muskingum River Valley. Malta has the rare distinction of being the location where the last paddle wheeler on the Muskingum River was built. Known as the Elizabeth Anne, built and owned by Dr. Ron Downing.
Malta is only about 15 miles away from one of the premier state parks in Ohio. As one of Ohio's resort parks, Burr Oak State Park offers a wide array of overnight accommodations with its lodge, cabins, and campground. Burr Oak Lodge, overlooking the lake from the east, offers sixty guest rooms, five meeting rooms, a dining room, full-service lounge and a gift shop as well. In addition, the park features thirty family cabins designed to sleep six individuals comfortably with kitchen and shower facilities. Facilities for lodge and cabin guests include a swimming beach, tennis courts, playground equipment, boat launch ramp and an indoor swimming pool.
Just a short drive from Malta and Morgan County, individuals can experience the largest wildlife conservation facility in North America. This facility is a place where African, Asian, and North American wildlife can roam freely. This is a place known rather appropriately as, The Wilds.
