Cape Coral is made up of 114 square miles of land and is the largest city in Southwest Florida and the largest between Tampa and Miami. With golf courses, tennis courts, boat ramps, athletic parks, natural preserves and more, the quality of life in Cape Coral is second to none.

The City of Cape Coral has some of the best parks and recreation programs in the state, providing all types of activities and programs for young and the young at heart. Our city continues to be a safe community while Cape Coral's police and fire department are proactive, working with the community to make it safe for all.

We have certainly earned the moniker as a Waterfront Wonderland. With almost 400 miles of salt and freshwater canals, learning to boat, fish, and kayak in this waterfront playground is a great way to connect with nature and exercise in the fresh air. Within a few miles are world-famous beaches renowned for excellent shelling and sweeping sunsets. If you are a sportsman, hunting, and fishing are still popular pursuits. Imagine walking out your back door and onto your boat for a day of fishing, sunbathing, shelling or exploring. Residents simply don’t complain of boredom around here. Cape Coral takes great pride in providing all types of recreational programming for the young and young at heart. Football, basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, tennis, dance, yoga, sailing, and kayaking are all highly accessible.

Cultural Park Theatre, Cape Coral Historical, and Cape Coral Art Studio are the nexus of a cultural hub for entertainment, history, gardening and expressive arts, while events throughout the city engage the community and draw visitors from throughout the region. The annual Cape Coral Festival of the Arts is named one of Sunshine Artist’s “200 Best” and is the second largest event in the county. A short jaunt across the river takes you to Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre, Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, Adison & Ford Estates, and the Burroughs Home.
Southwest Florida offers top-notch educational institutions. The public-school system and the city’s charter school system prepare students for the global marketplace with Accelerated Reader, International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement and career education programs. Cape Coral schools rank as some of the highest in the state of Florida and meet the community’s diverse needs. Higher education institutions such Florida Gulf Coast University, Ave Maria University, and a handful of small, private colleges are close by.

Cape Coral’s selection of housing ranges from easy-maintenance condos near shopping and dining to single-family homes in traditional neighborhoods to high-end gated properties with amazing water views. If you want views of the Caloosahatchee River or Pine Island Sound, you won’t be disappointed. Fort Myers, FL

Fort Myers is the urban anchor of the area, possessed of several identities all its own. Shopping, eating, nightlife, and arts opportunities abound. The most attractive facet of the city is the historic River District of reimagined Spanish-Floridian aesthetics, showcasing pottery-esque buildings done up in beige and sunny pastels, and McGregor Blvd, a wide avenue shaded by towering palm trees.

Extensive renovation of the historic downtown waterfront is underway, with new restaurants, nightclubs, apartments, and artistic venues providing energy and growth. Throughout the year, Southwest Florida residents and visitors enjoy cultural events overlooking the river at Centennial Park and the Fort Myers Yacht Basin.

For those of you who are thinking of buying real estate in beautiful Southwest Florida, the choice of properties available range from magnificent waterfront homes, high rise condos, and upscale gated communities to less expensive single family homes. The City of Fort Myers has expanded its boundaries with many building projects, many along the Caloosahatchee River. On the opposite side of the river, North Fort Myers is an affordable area. Beach-front homes or properties within close proximity to the beach such as those on Sanibel, Captiva, and Estero Island are more exclusive and are priced higher.

We have many attractions and activities to make your stay exciting and interesting. Golfing, skateboarding, ice-skating, roller-skating, nature walks, a hands-on museum, water park, planetarium, and much more for the family! Or if you want to just put your feet up and take it easy, some of the most beautiful beaches in the world are within a few miles of downtown Fort Myers. After taking in the beautiful sunset you can enjoy the Fort Myers nightlife, with its world-class performing arts, many restaurants, and watering holes!

With so many islands in Southwest Florida, finding your perfect beach is easy. Relax on our shores, but you’ll find beaches aren’t just for slowing down. Stay active with activities like volleyball, cycling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and shelling. Shell collecting is one of our most popular beach activities, and aficionados travel from all over the world to explore our shell selection. Find them on nearly every beach, but it’s Sanibel and Captiva islands that gather the most, thanks to their unique geography. Family-friendly resorts, Gulf-side seafood restaurants, and energetic nightlife can be found on seven miles of white, sandy coastline in Fort Myers Beach.

Fort Myers has its share of family-welcoming restaurant chains, in addition to many independent restaurants offering a wide choice of international cuisine. Since Southwest Florida’s coastline offers excellent fishing many restaurants feature fresh seafood. The Florida weather is ideal for eating alfresco, and many restaurants in downtown Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach offer outdoor dining. Times Square at Fort Myers Beach has several outdoor restaurants, ideal for casual dining. If you want to combine dinner with entertainment consider attending Dinner Theatre or board the Seminole Gulf Railway’s Murder Mystery Dinner Train. There are many watering holes and nightclubs along Tamiami Trail, and Fort Myers Beach has numerous low-key beach bars. In addition to bars, restaurants, and nightclubs Lee County also has a casino and several venues where you can see a Broadway production or a concert.
