San Antonio, Texas is a city rich with history and historical sites. Of course, when you're talking about historical impact, there's simply no landmark that is more recognized than the Alamo. It's so important that there's a city ordinance that restricts any construction that would cause a shadow to fall over it. San Antonio wouldn't be the city it is if it weren't for the battle at the Alamo. The San Antonio Missions National Historic Park is a must-see for history buffs.
San Antonio is currently the 7th largest city in the United States and ranked one of the number one cities to visit. San Antonio is more than just a city it's a community of some of the kindest people you'll ever meet. Also because of the number of military bases and businesses in town, they have an eclectic mix of people. San Antonio is famous for Spanish missions, the Alamo, the River Walk, the Tower of the Americas, the Alamo Bowl, Marriage Island, and host to SeaWorld and Six Flags Fiesta Texas theme parks. The city is visited by approximately 26 million tourists per year according to the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The city is home to the five-time NBA champion San Antonio Spurs and the annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the largest in the country.
San Antonio boasts parks with walking, hiking, and mountain biking trails. The city has approximately 136 miles of bike lanes, routes or off-road paths. Off-road trails travel along the San Antonio River, linear greenways, or city parks.
