We are very proud of the Cozad community and we hope you take the time to visit some of the many attractions that are guaranteed to make your stay more enjoyable. Outdoor attractions include an official Pony Express station in Veteran’s Memorial Park as well as several public parks, four which contain ball fields. Other facilities include a 50-meter outdoor swimming pool with two recreational slides, horseshoe pits, shuffleboard, disc golf, picnic areas, cooking facilities, playground equipment, lighted tennis courts, outside sand volleyball court, and a walking track. We offer community youth baseball, softball, soccer, and co-ed sand volleyball programs.
One of the unique offerings at Cozad is a selection of concerts each year organized by local volunteers who make up the board of the Cozad Entertainment Series. Each year the group strives to offer four concerts, all held at the Cozad High School auditorium. The number of events that take place in Cozad each year could easily fill up the desk calendar of the most sociable among us. A few of these events include the Robert Henri Art Festival, Bands, Brews, & BBQ, a community Easter egg hunt, Spook Night, Hay Days Celebration, Parade & Carnival Downtown Cozad, Holiday at the Henri, Winter Wonderland Parade, and so much more.
