We are a purpose-driven health care organization with a mission to provide the right care, at the right time, at the right place. We accomplish this by providing primary and preventive care, dental services and behavioral health services to people living in Travis County who have limited access to the health care services they need.
CommUnity Care offers competitive compensations and a generous benefits package. We seek providers, clinical, professional and administrative staff who support our mission and are committed to service excellence.
All of CommUnity Care clinics are located within Travis County. Employees of CommUnity Care have the option of living in downtown Austin or in any of the affluent Austin suburbs.
Austin is known as the Live Music Capital of the World. All of Austin is a stage and we like it that way: There are 250+ music venues in our fair city and the music scene is constantly evolving to fit the expanding needs of our local and touring artists. Live music and music in many other forms is everywhere in Austin. Musicians play in everything from grocery stores (Central Market, Whole Foods) to city council meetings. They play outdoors at the Blues on the Green series and at festivals: Austin City Limits and South by Southwest you've likely heard of, but there's also Urban Music Festival, Sound on Sound Festival, the Pecan Street Festival and much more worth checking out. Mostly, you'll find Austin musicians at clubs, coffeehouses, bars, taquerias, auditoriums and concert halls.
The Austin Marathon draws 20,000 runners from around the world. The Austin Food + Wine Festival welcomes visitors from across the nation and showcase the best innovative cuisine. Sound on Sound is one of the nation's best underground punk and alternative music festivals; and Fantastic Fest, which features sci-fi, horror, fantasy and other genre films, has become a favorite of film buffs and celebrities alike. SXSW Music, Film and Interactive Conferences and Festivals expand every year.
Austin is known for its creativity. Not only are we home to some world-class museums like the Blanton, with the nation's largest University-owned collection on exhibit, and the Harry Ransom Center, featuring the First Photograph and Gutenberg Bible, we're also home to plenty of artists themselves. You can explore the work of designers, painters, sculptors, writers, photographers, filmmakers, dancers and musicians here, at any time of year, any day of the week, in a variety of venues.
Austin offers visitors a cycling experience rivaling any serious U.S. cycling destination. The hype is real when it's rated among the top bicycling cities in America by Forbes Traveler, top 10 fittest cities by Forbes Magazine and top 20 most bike-friendly cities in America by Bicycling Magazine. Located in the heart of Texas Hill Country, Austin features diverse topography including rolling hills, stunning vistas and challenging open-road courses for hard-core athletes and athletes at heart. There's a reason Austin is often ranked one of the fittest cities in the country. From cycling to stand-up paddle boarding, water-biking to leisurely canoe-paddling - Austin offers an abundance of outdoor activities. And with 300 days of sunshine and an average temperature of 68 degrees, being active in Austin comes naturally.
Our menus are memorable thanks to celebrated staples like breakfast tacos from east side favorite Juan in a Million or the creative concoctions at Torchy's Tacos, as well as Tex-Mex treats paired with top shelf pitchers of margaritas at off the beaten path places like the patio of Polvo's on South 1st Street. Then there are the water-front locales like family-favorite Hula Hut on Lake Austin or the Lake Travis situated, "sunset capital of Texas", the Oasis. And lest we forget our BBQ at laid-back locales like favorites La Barbecue and County Line on the Hill. No Austin visit is complete without a park-and-eat experience at any of our many personality-plus food truck and trailer venues. From gourmet donuts at Gourdough's to savory sensations from East Side King, our city's ongoing conversation now has a culinary accent that is so much more flavored than a predictable Texas twang. From grapevines to hops, Austin serves up a bevy of local, craft libations sure to please every palate. Whether you're a sommelier or a beer aficionado, there's a place to find your drink in Austin.
