(Click for details)

Ampla Health adopted the Patient-Centered Medical Home model of health care delivery that encourages improved quality and greater involvement of patients in their own care. The Medical Home is an innovative, team-based approach to providing health care services via a partnership between the patient, his or her primary clinician, and a healthcare team. The healthcare team may include primary care or specialty physicians, community based providers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical assistants, registered nurses, LVNs, medical assistants, etc. Together, following evidence-based guidelines for medical care, the team will offer consistent, coordinated care and communication, and arrange for specialty care to provide the best healthcare services possible for you.

Ampla Health is a 501 (c)3 non-profit network of community-based Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) offering comprehensive medical, dental, mental health, and specialty healthcare services in Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Sutter, Tehama, and Yuba counties.

Ampla Health has thirteen medical and six dental centers conveniently located throughout Northern California to provide you and your family greater access to your healthcare needs.

Ampla Health was founded in 1964 to serve seasonal and migrant farm workers and low-income populations, and continually strives to be each community's healthcare provider and employer of choice. Serving Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Sutter, Tehama, and Yuba counties.

Ampla Health inspires patients to take an active role in their healthcare needs by participating in prevention, wellness, and chronic care programs that can assist with healthier lifestyles. We also encourage patients to select a primary care provider of choice to help them access the best care available. We are passionate about helping people live healthier lives and believe each patient benefits by receiving high-quality medical, dental, social, and educational health services.

Mission Statement

"To provide the individuals and communities we serve with high quality, comprehensive, community-directed healthcare that is accessible to all and culturally and linguistically appropriate."

With locations throughout Northern California providers can enjoy all that California's northeast corner and heartland have to offer. We operate clinics in both urban and rural locations allowing you to choose the best city to fit your lifestyle.

Shasta Cascade

California’s northeast corner is an outdoor lover’s paradise, with safe-to-explore volcanoes, hushed forests, and trout-filled rivers. This is the place for blue-ribbon fishing, houseboats anchored in cool lakes, countless campgrounds, and inviting trails for hiking and mountain biking. All this, plus friendly towns like Chico and Chester, and inviting rural farms in fertile lands near the Upper Sacramento River. Redding, the region’s largest city, makes a good base, with riverfront trails, Turtle Bay Exploration Park, and elegant Sundial Bridge, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.

Central Valley

California's heartland offers up one of the state’s most authentic and sensory-rich experiences, a chance to see—and taste—the state’s bounty at every turn. Follow oak-shaded country roads to farm stands overflowing with fresh produce, and meander along wine trails to some of the state’s most productive vineyards and low-key tasting rooms. Throughout the broad valley, stretching for over 400 miles down the middle of the state, are cities and towns rich with history, international culture, and “everyone’s welcome” charm.

Orland, CA

Orland is primarily a residential community that has maintained the small-town character one might envision for such a community of fifty years past.

Orland is located in the northern Sacramento Valley, County of Glenn area, along Interstate 5 and US99W, sixty miles south of Redding and 100 miles north of Sacramento. Black Butte Lake is eight miles west, nestled between the basalt buttes and stretches nearly seven miles up to Stony Creek. Chico, home of a California State University, is twenty miles to the east on State Route 32. The main campus of Butte-Glenn Community College is also located east, in Oroville, but its Glenn County Center is located in Orland.

We have several different parks offering a variety of recreational opportunities. Vinsonhaler is located between Shasta and Roosevelt Avenue and has ball fields, tennis courts, disc golf course, and a public swimming pool. Adjacent is Lollipopland with an outdoor structure for young children. Lely Aquatic is found on East South Street next to the Recreation Center. Here you can play volleyball or watch men’s fast pitch baseball, cheer on your little league player or have a birthday party.

Although not within the City limits, if you travel eight miles west on Newville Road you will reach Black Butte Lake. This recreation area provides outdoor activities such as windsurfing, camping, fishing, water skiing, boating, swimming, disc golf course, bird watching or sailboating.

Oroville, CA

The City of Oroville is located in Butte County in the Sierra Nevada Foothills within the Northern Sacramento Valley. The City of Oroville has a population of approximately 14,500 and is the third largest municipality in Butte County, followed by Chico and Paradise.

Oroville is positioned off of Highway 70 and is in close proximity to Highway 99, which connects Butte County with Interstate 5, which travels the length of California. Oroville is approximately 65 miles north of Sacramento, the California State Capitol. Oroville is a good 2.5 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area and Reno.

The city is considered the gateway to Lake Oroville and Feather River recreational areas. Lake Oroville, which is adjacent to the City, is the second largest lake in California. Lake Oroville was created with the construction of the Oroville Dam, the tallest earthen dam in the United States. The lake offers a wide variety of outdoor activities including camping, picnicking, horseback riding, hiking, sail and power boating, water-skiing, fishing, swimming, boat-in camping, floating campsites and horse camping.

Lake Oroville Visitor Center has a museum, exhibits, videos and a store. The view from the 47-foot tower, with two high-powered telescopes, is a spectacular panoramic view of the lake, Sierra Nevada’s, valley, foothills, and the Sutter Buttes mountain range (smallest in the world).
